Bakfiets or box bike in English, is a way of life. A way that’s simple, relaxed, and liberating. Our box bikes are large enough to hold children, pets, and any other precious cargo. Every ride is a leisurely ride in these stylish, well-designed machines.
We have different types of box bikes (bakfietsen). There are two wheel and three wheel versions available. You can get bench seats, carseat adapters and raincovers to use with your wagon.
This carrier tricycle is the car alternative; the kids go in the box in front of you and you will never get stuck in traffic again. On top of that you can carry groceries, pets and other cargo quite easily in this roomy open box. The sturdy frame and wheels are designed to carry heavy loads. The box can take four children or two children and a Maxi-Cosi. This carrier tricycle is very stable, making it possible to stop and take off without your feet touching the ground.

The 995 is the way to get around for the modern family. You don’t have to bungle on your bike with overloaded grocery bags dangling from your handlebars, watching the kids on their bike in the mean time, anymore. Now you can ride with ease and comfort while you carry it all in the spacious box in front of you. The 995 has a low-step frame for easy access and rides just as steady as a regular bike because of the low centre of gravity. The box is about as wide as your handlebars, which allows you to maneuver effortlessly, even in busy city traffic.
Transporting two kids and your groceries on a regular bike can be tricky. A child seat in the front and back, grocery bags dangling from your handlebars. Bungling down the road like an unsteady pack-mule? There’s another way! The 996 is the lengthened version of the 995. The box happens to be 15 cm longer, which enables you to not only bring your kids and groceries, but additional cargo as well. Besides that it is possible to install a second bench.
